Certificate of Higher Education in Common Law (CertHE) is a University of London qualification designed for students who want to build a strong foundation in English Common Law. Entry Requirements
Applicants must:

Be 18 years or older by the date of registration.

Have a place at an approved University of London teaching centre.

Meet the teaching centre’s admission requirements.

Demonstrate a good level of English suitable for higher education study.

Have access to a computer and internet connection for the University of London Student Portal and online learning resources. (University of London)
No traditional LLB-entry qualification is necessarily required, making the CertHE particularly suitable for students who want to study law but may not meet the normal entry requirements for the LLB. The final admission decision is subject to University of London and teaching-centre requirements. (University of London)
Assessment
Students are assessed through University of London examinations. Examinations are normally conducted in May and October, with examinations set and marked according to University of London academic standards. (University of London)
Progression to LLB
The CertHE Common Law can provide a pathway to the University of London LLB. After successfully completing the required CertHE modules, students may be eligible to transfer credit into the Standard Entry LLB, subject to the University’s regulations and eligibility requirements.
